Auburn Township is one of the larger and more rural parts of our service area, with properties that range from small homesteads to multi-acre estates. We've got the equipment and experience for all of it.
From the homes along Washington Street to properties stretching toward Munson and Burton, we service Auburn Township residences and small commercial sites.
Larger properties in Auburn often need more than weekly mowing โ they need a partner who can handle bed work, tree pruning, fall cleanups, and winter snow management without missing a beat.
Auburn is rural, and our route reflects that. We're regularly out in Auburn Center, along the Munn Rd corridor, and serving the properties around Auburn Career Center. The big lots along Washington St, Auburn Rd, and the Ravenna Rd corridor are on our schedule, and we cover the rural eastern portion of Geauga County as well as the properties spread out along Troy Rd. If you're east of the main Geauga population centers, you're in our Auburn day.
Auburn Township spans two ZIPs โ 44023, which it shares with Bainbridge and parts of Chagrin Falls, and 44021, which covers the southern portion of Auburn Center. Both are inside our service area.
Auburn is the most rural area we work. Two- to five-acre properties are the norm, and almost everything sits on septic and a private well โ so there's no curbside leaf pickup, no city water, no shortcuts. Every leaf, every limb, every load of debris has to be hauled off the property by us. We've structured our Auburn route as a single dedicated day each week so the drive time doesn't kill the math on small jobs.
Wildlife pressure here is on another level. Deer and turkey populations are heavier than anywhere else we service, and an unprotected planting bed in Auburn will be browsed to the ground within a week. We also see a lot of older shallow wells on the original Auburn parcels โ we work carefully around wellheads, and we'll never run an aerator or a trencher near one without flagging it with you first.
We've adapted to the rural Auburn reality. We charge fairly for drive time instead of pretending it doesn't exist, and we offer monthly schedules for properties that don't fit a standard weekly route โ a lot of Auburn lots are big and slow-growing and just don't need us showing up every seven days. We meet you where you actually are.
"We're on 3.5 acres off Troy Rd. Most lawn crews wouldn't drive out to us or quoted us double. Nathan came out, walked the property, and gave us a fair monthly price."
Auburn sits at a slightly higher elevation than Aurora โ only by a couple hundred feet, but enough to run three to five degrees cooler on a typical spring morning. That pushes the Auburn growing season open about five to seven days later than Aurora's, and we schedule the spring kickoff visits with that lag built in. Snow plowing is heavier too: Auburn often picks up one to two inches more accumulation per storm than Aurora, and that's reflected in our seasonal contract pricing. If you want a snow contract on the Auburn route, get on the list early โ slots are limited.
